Meet The Founders

Hi! We’re Cody and Cory, founders of Love Letter Film Company. We’ve been lifelong friends, collaborators, and storytellers, united by a passion for people and adventure. As we embark on our 12th year as small business partners—we embrace what started as a shared love for music and evolved into a craft of storytelling through filmmaking.

Love Letter Film Co. was really a pleasure to work with for our wedding. Two weeks before my wedding, my photo/video vendor canceled. I was in a panic and they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.

The Full Story

We were introduced by our best friends, Robby and Jordan, who had just started college together at Colorado State University. At the time, Cory lived in his hometown of Golden, CO, and Cody was across the country in Atlanta, GA. Both of us were young and fueled by a love for music. Despite the distance, we started collaborating online, crafting songs and productions that felt like the start of something bigger.

Cody moved back to Colorado, joining our tight-knit circle of friends and bringing our music to life in a whole new way. We picked up right where we’d left off—only now, things were becoming tangible. We launched a band, then a small business, diving headfirst into a life filled with music and video production, performing hundreds of shows, touring the country, and managing a boutique studio. We were living the dream.

But life has a way of throwing curveballs. Over time, we faced big questions about where we were headed, and when the pandemic hit, shutting down venues and closing our studio doors temporarily, we found ourselves at a crossroads. As everything shifted, we were ready to reimagine our future, and by 2021, we’d found a new direction. That year, Jordan a.k.a. “The American Runner” announced he was planning to run across the U.S. in a world record attempt, and we jumped on board as his full-time media and support team.

Four months before the journey began, everything changed again. Robby, who had been there since the very beginning, lost his long battle with mental health. His absence left a deep void, and the mission suddenly carried a purpose beyond us. We set out not just to document Jordan’s journey but to honor Robby’s memory, raising awareness for brain disease research. For 71 days, we traveled across 12 states, filming every step from San Francisco to New York City. The challenges were intense, but by the end, we returned home transformed, stronger, and with a newfound certainty about what we wanted to do next.

Storytelling has always been part of us. We’d filmed and photographed our first weddings in 2018, never guessing where it would lead. But after everything we’d been through, we knew we were ready to capture life’s biggest moments full-time. And so, Love Letter Film Company and Manifest Filmworks were born!

In my free time, I love playing and producing music, spending time with my family and friends, and staying active—whether that’s cycling, paddleboarding, or getting a good workout in. It's hard to beat the hiking and camping we have in Colorado!

You’re likely to catch me with a camera in my hand - I’m thankful to come from a family line of photographers, tracing back to the mid-1800s with my great-grandfather. My partner and I enjoy traveling, cooking, yoga, and music, and I’m always up for a good read or learning something new.
